For today's drip, we decided to try a new establishment in West Olympia. So new that it's not even on Snap Maps! The Park Side Cafe is situated right off Henderson next to Hash and the park on the corner. This is a newer development of this area since growing up, and has livened it up. This café features a rooftop deck and a classic evergreen view with their menu being composed of entirely plant-based items, how Olympia!

Vanilla Latte

Today's latte was created with oat milk and we decided to get it hot today. We gave it a 2.5 on sweetness because we didn't find it to be overly sweet in anyway. There was a beautiful balance, giving it a 5 and overall this drink was a 4.5. We didn't think it was a 5 because the texture seemed to be a bit powdery.

Kombucha Mojito

For our specialty drink today, we tried their non-alcoholic kombucha mojito. This drink had a unique twist on a classic kombucha and definitely tasted more like a mojito (minty) than kombucha (fermented), which we didn't think was a bad thing. We gave it a 5 on creativity because of the unique spin and an overall rating of 4. It was a good drink, but overall wasn't anything outstanding.

Customer service was a 5, they were quick on their feet and go above and beyond by delivering orders when you decide to dine at the rooftop seating. We waited 2 minutes for our drinks and they were done before we started walking up the stairs. We didn't need to wait in line very long, probably 2 minutes there. We gave the aesthetic a 4 because it was simple and clean-cut, but not many details or decor. The atmosphere was a 4 as well, because it's very inviting and has a warm vibe.

Overall, this cafe received an 8. It was a great experience and it would be a great quiet place to take some out-of-towners with a great rooftop view and place to sit and chat without an overwhelming atmosphere, so you can focus on the moment. They do lack some parking, but for the location around this part of Olympia, it makes sense. We would recommend checking out The Park Side Cafe and be sure to check out their food items as well. We tried the brownie coconut creme cake and it was spectacular, even for it being plant-based.

Thanks for reading, we hope you enjoyed! Happy sipping (and munching)!
